Centum, an ISO 9001:2015 certified skilling MNC, in partnership with Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), today launched fourth state-of-the-art Model Training Centre (MTC), called Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) at Sira in Haryana. Centum, in association with the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and NSDC, is playing a pivotal role in creating benchmark institutions that demonstrate aspirational value for employability led skill development training. Centum will continue to focus on quality and address the unique challenges facing the youth. It is fully geared to mobilize youth in Haryana to make them employable and work ready.
The newly inaugurated Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra at Biyani Nagar, Hisar Road, will be enrolling over 1600 candidates in a year to offer several employability linked courses for roles like Sales Executive in Automotive Industry, Health Worker under Healthcare sector, Warehouse Packer for Logistics sector, Child Caretaker under Domestic Worker sector, DTH Set-Top Box Installer and Service Technician under Instrumentation sector, Automation under Surveillance & Communication Sector.
These high demand courses have been approved by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The centre comprises of six class rooms, one class room cum lab and seven state-of-the-art labs.
Besides, Centum is laying special emphasis on enhancing the personality and soft skills of candidates to enhance their employability quotient and entrepreneurship skills. Additionally, a recreation zone has been set up and adequate space has been allotted for library. A counselling cum placement cell has also been made part of the Kaushal Kendra to instill confidence amongst students. Speaking on the occasion of the launch Shri Sanjay Bahl, Managing Director & CEO, Centum Learning said, “We have been actively involved in mobilizing youth in various parts of India for a long time now and PMKK will further institutionalize the model of vocational training in India. In Haryana alone, Centum has launched four additional PMKK centres in Jind, Hisar, Kaithal and Fatehabad. The newly launched PMKK will institutionalize the model of vocational training in India, a step towards creating a skilled and empowered India as visualized by the Prime Minister.”
While the State has progressed towards providing universal access to all regions and ensuring high enrollment, further efforts are required to increase retention of students across higher levels of education.
