A significantly increased level of investment planned for Japan to capture rapidly growing HR market opportunity
SANTA MONICA, Calif. AND TOKYO – March 6, 2019 – Cornerstone OnDemand (NASDAQ: CSOD), a global leader in cloud-based learning and human capital management software, announced today it is strengthening its leadership in Japan. Cornerstone appointed Jonathan Epstein as its new Managing Director of Japan, and appointed Junichi Iijima in a new Strategic Alliances role to focus on developing key partnerships. Epstein will lead Cornerstone’s business in Japan and report to Chirag Shah, Senior Vice President & General Manager for Asia-Pacific & Japan (APJ).
As Managing Director, Epstein will oversee Japanese sales, marketing, client success and alliances, while also assuming responsibility for formulating and driving the overall growth strategy for Cornerstone’s business in Japan.
Epstein’s experience in Japan spans more than two decades and includes serving as Chairman of Moneytree K.K., Japan Country Manager at Credorax, Japan Country Manager at PayPal, Chief Financial Officer at NASDAQ Japan and Director of Strategy at Softbank Corporation.
